Greencastle

The castle was built by Hugh de Lacy .The design of Hugh de Lacy’s castle consisted of a quadrilateral curtain wall with a D-shaped tower at each corner - all now in a very fragmentary state. The castle greencastle has a massive sur rounding rock-cut ditch. Its features is rectangular block. There is a great fair every August called “Ram Fair”

It is located 4 miles SW of Kilkeel. This castle is open from April to September.

Dundrum Castle

Located just above Dundrum village. Dundrum Castle was founded by the legendary Norman adventurer John de Courcy.The site occupies the summit of a rocky hill commanding fine views over Dundrum Bay.
